Glo's Cinnamon Rolls

Glo’s Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
1 cup warm water
3 cups warm milk
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoons salt
4 eggs
12 cups flour (approx.)
4 tablespoons yeast (I use instant yeast)
½ cup butter (or whatever it takes to cover dough)
Brown sugar
Cinnamon

In large mixing bowl combine the water, milk, sugar, shortening, salt and stir. Add half of the flour
without stirring. On top of the flour, sprinkle the yeast (if Instant yeast, otherwise activate
yeast as directed, accounting for the used water and add to the mixture). Turn on mixer and mix for about
one minute, or until the flour is mixed completely into liquid. Continue mixing and add eggs one at a time while
the beater is beating. Change to a dough hook and add the rest of the flour. Mix well.
Cover with wax paper and let the dough rise until it doubles in bulk.
Roll out in long rectangle. Cover in the entire rectangle of dough with melted butter.
Add brown sugar to bottom half of dough and then sprinkle cinnamon on top. Fold down and cut
with knife into 1.5 inch slices. Twist edges and tie in a knot. Place on greased cookie sheet.
Let them rise for one hour (double in bulk again). Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (approx. 12 minutes).

Frosting
2 lb bag powdered sugar
½ cup butter
Milk (canned milk is better, but either works) to desired consistency (not too thick)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix together, frost cinnamon rolls while still warm, but not hot
